YWCA Veteran's Home - Gateway for Independent Living

Providence, RI

This project involved renovations to two adjacent facilities—Gateway 1 and Gateway 2—located at 164 and 154 Delaine Street in Providence, RI, supporting a vital transitional housing program for veterans. Together, the buildings provide 50 beds across approximately 15,000 square feet of combined living area, designed to promote residential stability and community connection among residents.

Gateway 1, a three-story, 18-bed facility, includes two handicap-accessible units within its 4,976-square-foot footprint and features shared sleeping quarters, a communal kitchen, fitness space, offices, and laundry facilities. Gateway 2, a four-story, 32-bed building, offers apartment-style living with private kitchens and bathrooms, as well as communal gathering areas and a computer lab.

Pariseault Builders was engaged early in preconstruction to assist in planning and implementing improvements across all 50 apartment units. Through thoughtful coordination and attention to detail, our team delivered safe, functional, and comfortable environments that honor and support the veterans who call these facilities home.
