Moses Brown School: Headmaster’s House

Providence, Rhode Island

After developing a plan, the Moses Brown School reached out to Pariseault to assemble a design/build team that could deliver the new Head of School’s Residence. Having performed countless projects for this valued repeat client, we quickly mobilized and called upon LLB Architects to start working on design development. The East Side neighborhood at the edge of campus was home to lot of historical dwellings from the late 1800s, so our first challenge was to figure out how this project was going to fit in to its surroundings. Together, LLB and Pariseault came up with a unique yet simple design for the two-story residence and event venue that respects the school’s Quaker values and practicality. After about ten months of construction, our hard work yielded a beautiful structure 100% constructed by the Pariseault workforce featuring three bedrooms, a study with a private bath, a finished basement with large windows suitable for a recreation room, a space that could serve as an office extra bedroom or catering area, 4 ½ baths, a large living room, a kitchen, a casual dining area and a family room at south side of house.
