Flood Mazda: Addition & Renovation

Wakefield, Rhode Island

Phased Project

Kept Operational

Occupied Space

In 2019, Pariseault delivered on the expansion and improvement of a car dealership for one of our longest repeat clients. Working with our preliminary budget, Flood Mazda teamed up with design partner BKA Architects to further develop plans. But as pre-construction progressed it became clear that this would be no simple rebranding exercise. It was absolutely crucial that the facility remain open, operational and safe during all aspects of construction which, logistically, was no small undertaking. Work on the large, new showroom would block all access to the office staff while six wash/maintenance bays were also being constructed. Our solution: Phase the overhaul of the interior, shifting office staff, adding a 2nd floor mezzanine and building a significant addition to house the new state-of-the-art service bays. In the end, the dealership experienced no lost days of business or loss of employees. And through dust partitions, negative air set ups, and noise mitigation tactics, Flood Mazda was able to protect both their revenue stream and their hard-earned brand.
