Crossroads Rhode Island Health & Housing Development

Providence, Rhode Island

The Pine St. development consists of construction of a 32,000-square-foot independent and permanent supportive housing facility. This five-story building for Crossroads RI provides 35 one-bedroom and studio apartments, along with common areas, a community room, and ground-floor offices designed to foster connection and stability. The project integrates carbon-free building systems, including air-source heat pumps and an ultra-efficient building envelope, underscoring a commitment to sustainability and long-term operational efficiency.

This facility was developed for individuals with multiple chronic health conditions—many of whom are frequent users of subsidized healthcare and emergency services. The design prioritizes healing, accessibility, and dignity. By incorporating features that accommodate a range of physical and cognitive disabilities, this facility represents a thoughtful, human-centered approach to supportive housing. Pariseault is proud to part of this team that's focused on building spaces that strengthen communities and enhance quality of life. (Renderings courtesy of Kite Architects)
